The Bible refers to the new Christian as a "newborn babe," who requires a special diet to strengthen him. The special diet prescribed by the Great Physician is the "sincere milk of the word." This refers to the basic doctrines of the Christian Life. And nothing is more basic to the Christian life than the certainty of salvation, the blessed assurance of which Fanny Crosby wrote in her classic hymn which is the inspiration for  the title of this book. This assurance is the birthright of every child of God.

Unfortunately, many Christians begin their new life in Christ without being grounded in this vital certainty. Others are attacked with doubts later in their Christian walk. It is for these that this book has been written.

During his years as a pastor and counselor, the author acquired a growing conviction that three major facets of this truth needed to be addressed:

• What happens to the person at the time of salvation?
• What can destroy the certainty of salvation in the mind of the believer?
• How can one enjoy the security of "Blessed Assurance?"

This book addresses these questions in a simple, easy-to-read style which will appeal to young and old alike.
